Genie Consumer Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of the Genie consumer application and Genie's other services for individuals (collectively, the "Services"). These Terms form an agreement between you and Genie Health Pte. Ltd. ("Genie", "us", "we" or "our"). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms.
Our Genie SmartCare General Terms of Service (accessible at https://www.geniehealth.care/legal/smartcare-terms-of-service) govern the use of the Genie SmartCare Platform and our other services for businesses, clinics and wellness locations.
Our Privacy Policy (accessible at https://www.geniehealth.care/legal/genie-privacy-policy) explains how we collect and use personal information.
1. Who We Are
Genie is a Singapore-based company developing and operating personalised healthcare solutions powered by artificial intelligence, with the vision of guiding people to become the healthiest version of themselves.
2. Registration and Access
You must provide accurate and complete information to register for an account. You must be at least 18 years of age, have the full right, power, and legal authority to enter into these Terms, and use the Services for personal use only. Parents or legal guardians may create linked accounts for children under 18 and are fully responsible for their use of the Services.
3. Use of the Services
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you may access and use the Services. You may not use the Services for any illegal, harmful, disruptive or abusive activity, including reverse engineering, scraping, introducing malware, circumventing security measures, or any activity that overloads or disrupts the Services. Third-party services integrated with Genie are governed by their own terms.
4. Inputs, Outputs, Actions and Materials
You are responsible for all content (Inputs) you submit. Our Services generate AI responses (Outputs) based on your Inputs. AI is a frontier technology — Outputs may not always be accurate and should not be relied upon as a sole source of truth or as a substitute for professional advice. You retain rights in your Inputs; Genie owns the Outputs but grants you a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use them. We may use Materials to improve the Services and train our AI models.
5. Our Intellectual Property Rights
We own all rights, title, and interest in and to the Services, including all software, design, text, and logos. You are granted a personal, limited, non-exclusive right to use the Services for their intended purpose. You do not acquire any ownership rights in our Services.
6. Subscriptions and Payment
We may offer free trials that automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends. Paid subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We will give at least 30 days' notice of price increases.
7. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if required by law, if you breach these Terms, if your conduct poses risk or harm to the Services or other users, or if there is suspected unauthorised access. Free accounts inactive for over a year may be terminated with advance notice. Appeal by contacting support@geniehealth.care.
8. Discontinuation of Services
If we discontinue any Services, we will give advance notice and refund prepaid, unused Services.
9. Warranties; Disclaimer
The Genie Consumer Application does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. It is not a clinical decision support system, electronic health record, or regulated medical device. The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". In case of emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Genie, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims arising from your misuse of the Services, breach of these Terms, violation of applicable laws, or infringement of third-party rights.
11. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability is capped at the greater of (i) the total amount you paid us in the last 12 months, or (ii) S$50. We are not liable for indirect, punitive, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud.
12. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material updates will be notified by email or via the Services. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. The current version is always available at https://www.geniehealth.care/legal.
13. General
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Genie. They are governed by Singapore law. Disputes are resolved by binding arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre. Notices to Genie should be sent to privacy@geniehealth.care.
